Take This to Your Grave is the amazing debut studio album by the well - known rock band Fall Out Boy, first released on May 6, 2003. When Fall Out Boy signed with Island Records, the label used a unique strategy. It let the band first sign with the independent label Fueled by Ramen for their debut and then move to Island for their second album. Sean O'Keefe helped with the band's demo. They went back to Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin to record most of their first album with him. Despite living on a stranger's floor at times and running out of money halfway, the band recorded seven songs in just nine days, combining them with three more from the demo.
