Jon Charles Dwyer honed his skills with punk and hardcore bands in NC before turning to solo work. 'Junebug' is his second full - length album and debut on Bitter Melody. Recorded over about a year in his friend Cliff B. Worsham’s basement in Candler, NC, this album combines early - written songs with those penned just before recording. Its purpose is to express pain and make listeners feel less alone. 'Junebug' is a nickname from his adolescence, a source of comfort. The tracklist includes great songs like 'Briar Vine', 'Hoping it Will (Thinking it Won't)', and more, with guest features by Jessica Lea Mayfield in some tracks.
