Jon honed his skills in North Carolina with punk and hardcore bands before launching his solo career. 'Junebug' is his second full - length album and his debut on Bitter Melody. In Jon's own words, 'Junebug' was recorded over about a year in his friend Cliff B. Worsham’s basement in Candler, NC. Some songs are from his earliest works, while others were written right before recording. All songs aim to express pain and offer a sense of companionship to listeners. 'Junebug' is a nickname from his adolescence, given because he was born in June. It brings comfort and familiarity. The tracklist includes 'Briar Vine', 'Hoping It Will (Thinking It Won't)', 'Brighter Blue', 'Good Folks', 'Heavy Feathers', 'Mississippi', 'Shame', 'Ruby Dear', and 'Lightweight'.
